The African Engineering Education Association (AEEA) was the major outcome of the 3rd African Regional Conference on Engineering Education (ARCEE) that was held in Pretoria, South Africa, on 26-27 September 2006 following the 1st & 2nd ARCEEs that were held in Lagos, Nigeria.
 
The main objectives of the AEEA, among others, are:
  • to generally promote Engineering Education in Africa and 
  • to bridge the North-South divide 

One of the main activities of the AEEA is to hold ARCEEs. Four ARCEEs have been held to date.

The next conference is to be hosted by HOON INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING in LIBYA in September 2010
